Frank Martin, aged 46 died at noon today of spinal meningitis at his home on Milligan Street. He had been sick for several weeks. The funeral will take place from the home on Monday, Dr. Tharp conducting the services. The interment will be at Odd Fellows' cemetery. Mr. Martin was a painter by trade and was a man well liked and respected. He leaves a wife and two daughters. - kbz

After an illness of seven weeks, Frank Martin passed away of cerebro spinal meningitis. He was born in Portland, Fountain County, February 4, 1853, and died June 24, 1899. In 1879 he was married to Amanda Reprogle. To this union seven children were born, of whom two, Ethel and Nina, with their mother, survive him.

At the age of 14 years he joined the Christian Church. The funeral was conducted at the family residence on Milligan Street Monday and was largely attended. Rev. Tharp officiated, assisted by Rev. Davis, of Trinity Church. Interment was at Oak Hill.
